Personal Injury Lawsuits keys to victory! |
|
• Write down everything you can remember about the accident. How did it happen? Who was present? Do you know the names and contact information for witnesses? Make notes of conversations you had with other people involved in the accident or injury or who observed it. Describe your surroundings at the time of the accident. Take pictures of the scene. Provide as much detail as possible.
• Start keeping track of confusing paperwork early. As soon as you start receiving medical records, bills or reports start a file. Categorize each document by who provided it to you. Keep all records from each doctor separate. Do the same with medical bills.
• Keep track of your injuries. Keep a journal documenting your injuries. How do you feel? How has the accident or injury affected you? How much wage loss has been caused by the accident or injury? What continuing symptoms or injuries are you suffering because of the accident or injury?
Bring all your notes to your meeting with your attorney. The more information you have available the more accurately we can value your case. Also, documenting these things early will help you remember important details.
This is a team effort- we're in this together and both have the same goal of obtaining fair compensation for your injury.
